Coconut Ice cream

Coconut Ice cream
Ingredients
  • 1 cup tendered coconut water
  • 2 cup tender coconut meat
  • ½ cup condensed milk
  • 1 cup thick coconut milk
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 cup whipped milk cream
Method (how to  make tender coconut icecream at home)
  • Mix tender coconut water and half of the coconut meat and grind to make paste.
  • Nicely chopped remaining coconut meat.
  • Nicely beat the whipped cream, add coconut milk and tender coconut paste and sit well.
  • Add sugar and condensed milk  stir nicely until sugar dissolve.
  • Add chopped coconut meat and mix well.
  • Keep in a freezer for 6-8 hrs.
  • Serve after 8 hours and enjoy.

Spinach And Cheddar Cheese Muffins

Spinach And Cheddar Cheese Muffins
Ingredients
  • 1 ½ cup maida
  • 6tbsp butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ cup yogurt (or 1 egg)
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup chopped spinach
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
Method (How to make cheddar cheese muffins at home)
  • Preheat the oven to 175 degree C.
  • Wash spinach and dry it on the kitchen towel.
  • Heat together butter and milk.  And allow it to cool down completely.
  • Sieve maida, baking powder, baking soda and salt togater and keep aside.
  • Add yogurt into the milk and butter mixture and whisk it nicely, add grated cheddar cheese and mix nicely.
  • Add the flour mixture the wet mixture slowly and mix it gently.
  • Spoon the batter to the muffin try and bake it for 20-25 min. in preheated oven.
  • Remove from the oven and allow it to cool down.
  • Serve with green chutney or tomato sauce.

Banana Muffins

Banana Muffins


Ingredients (for 15-16 cup cake)

1 cup maida (250 gram)
¾ cup sugar
¼ cup cocoa powder
¼  tsp cinnamon powder
¼  tsp baking soda
¼  tsp baking powder
½ cup yogurt  
¼ tsp salt
¼  cup oil
1 egg (beaten)
3 large ripe banana
1 tsp vanilla essence
Method (how to make carrot and walnut cupcake at home)
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
Put cupcake liner into the cupcake try.
Mix the maida, baking soda, baking powder, salt and cocoa  and sieve 2 times, add sugar and keep aside.
Mash the banana and keep aside.
In a separate bowl beat the eggs, add yogurt, oil and mix well.
Add mased banana and mix well.
Now slowly add maida mixture and mix well.
Scoop cake batter into the cupcake liner.
Bake for 17-18 minutes or until tooth pick insert come out clean.
Serve after cool down completely.

Ingredients
  • ½ cup maida (120 gram)
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1/8th tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 85 gram butter (at room temperature)
  • 2 egg white
  • 1.5 tsp vanilla essence
  • ¼ cup yogurt
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ¼ tsp salt

Method (How to make vanilla cup cake at home)
  • Preheat oven to 180 degree.
  • Sieve maida, baking soda, baking powder and salt together.
  • Add sugar and keep aside.
  • In a separate bowl put egg white and beat nicely add butter and stir well.
  • Add yogurt and milk and stir again.
  • Add dry mixture to the wet mixture and mix well.
  • Put the liner onto the cupcake try.
  • Spoon the batter to the cupcake liner and bake for 18-20 minutes or until toothpick come clean out.
  • Allow to cool down completely.  

Tips:   Always use correct measuring cups and spoons.
Use ingredients in room temperature.

Ingredients(for 20 medium size cup cake)

1 cup maida (250 gram)
¾ cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
1 ½ cups grated carrots
¼ cup chopped walnuts
2/3 cup oil
2 eggs (beaten)


Method (How to make carrot walnut cake at home)

Preheat the oven to 180 degree.
Sieve the maida with baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt together and keep  aside.
In a separated bowl beat the eggs, add oil and grated carrot.
Add sugar, now slowly add shifted flour, stir until mixed.
Put the cup cake lining in the cup cake try.
Pour 2/3 of cup cake liner.
Bake for 18-20 minutes or until toothpick inserted come out clean.
Note:   Always use correct measuring cup and spoon to get perfect cup cake.

Home remedies for de-tanning


From using potato juice egg white to oatmeal keep away your summer tanning woes with these easy to do detanning home remedies.
  1. Tomato pulp contains lycopene which acts as good sun protecting factor. Keep the application for 20 minutes to let your skin get rid of its tanned layer and then just rinse off with normal water.
  2. Due to the ascorbic acid, lemon juice is an effective detanning agent, specially when used with glycerine.
  3. Potato juice along with a drop of lemon juice can be used to make a face pack too.
  4. Egg white with honey is a excellent recipe, too. It also help in making the skin firm.
  5. A very quick and easy recipe to cleanse the skin and remove dead layer is mixing curd and besan. Can be use with some rose water.
  6. For those with oily skin, a mixture of cucumber juice mixed with curd or milk powder can be dodge that tan.
  7. Aloe vera gel in known for healing damaged and tanned skin. Mix it with lemon to provide a protective layer to the skin.
  8. A mix of besan, milk, masoor dal powder lemon juice and pinch of turmeric can be applied in the affected area. After leaving it for 15 minutes rinse your face with fresh water.
  9. Take a small piece of banana and rub on the face. Keep this for 15 minutes then wash the wash. This remedies is best detanning recipe for dry facial skin.
  10. Rub a piece of papaya slice on the face everyday and leave for 10 minutes then wash off. This will make the skin color stay fairer in summers and doesn’t allow sun tanning.

Curd and tomato face pack
Take 1 teaspoonful of curd in a small bowl and cut a medium sized tomato and squeeze the juice of half tomato in the curd. Then, mix the curd and tomato juice. Apply this face mask evenly on the skin and leave for 30 minutes. Wash the face with normal water. This takes off the sun tan and brings back the natural color of the skin. This can be tried 3 times in a week for best results for all skin types.
Lemon juice and honey face pack
Mix 1 teaspoonful of lemon juice with 1 teaspoonful of honey and apply this on the face. and wash after 30 minutes. This has to be done every other day to keep the skin free of tan and for the removal or any sun tan on your skin. Lemon juice will gently bleach the skin and make your skin look fairer as well while honey will impart glow. This too is suitable for all skin types.
Oatmeal and milk pack
Take 2 teaspoonful of oatmeal and mix 6 teaspoonful of milk in it. Keep this for 5 minutes. This is essential to let the oatmeal soaked up with milk and swell up. Now use this oatmeal pack on your face and let it get dry for 30 minutes. Then wash your face by gently scrubbing the skin. This will eliminate the sun tan and will also exfoliate the skin for and extra glow. This is a good detan pack for all skin types butit is best for dry skin.

  • 15 almonds (soaked in water)
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp mint leaves
  • 5-6 ice cubes
  • 4-5 seedless dates

  • Place soaked almonds in blender and make smooth paste.
  • Add all other ingredients into the  blender and puree until smooth.

Coconut Laddu

Coconut Laddu
Ingredients
250 gram coconut powder
150 gram sugar
50-100 gram mawa
½ tsp cardamom powder
1 cup water
15-20 almonds half

Method (How to make coconut laddu)
Mix coconut powder, sugar and water and keep aside for 20-30 minutes.
Heat a deep kadhai and add coconut and sugar sit continuously till sugar milt and become sticky.
Add mawa and mix well sit for 3-4 minutes and switch off the flame.
When cool down completely make lemon size ball.
Place almonds half on the top of the laddo.
Keep in the fridge.

Kuttu ki Khichdi

Kuttu ki Khichdi
Ingredients (for 2 servings)
  • 1 cup kuttu (buckwheat)
  • 2 medium size potato
  • 1 green chilli
  • 1 cup chopped vegetable (carrot, bottle guard)
  • 2 medium size tomato
  • 1 tbsp ghee or oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 green chilli (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp fried peanuts
  • 1 tsp ginger (grated)
  • 2 cup water
  • Salt as required
  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves (chopped)
Method (how to make the kuttu khichdi)
  • Soak buck wheat in water for 30 minutes drain the water and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in pan and fry peanut and keep aside.
  • Heat ghee or oil in pressure cooker add green chillies  and fry for few seconds.
  • Add ginger, chopped potato and chopped vegetables fry for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add chopped tomatos fry for few minutes.
  • Add soaked buckwheat (kuttu) and sauté for few minutes.
  • Add water and salt close the lid cook for 1 whistle after that cook on low flame for 4-5 minutes. Switch off the flame.
  • When cool down completely, open the lid. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Add lemon juice and fried peanuts, serve hot.

Cashew Makhana Curry



Ingredients (for 3-4 serving)

  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tsps Ginger green chilli paste
  • ½ cup tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Ginger, julienned
  • ½ tsppepper powder
  • 50 gm beaten curd
  • 2 tsps. Garam Masala powder (vrat special)
  • 100ml Cream
  • Rock Salt according to taste
  • 2 tsps Coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1 ½ tbsp oil or ghee
  • 1 cup Makhana
  • 15-20 Cashewnuts


Method (How to make cashew makhana curry for navratri)


  • Soak cashewnut in milk for 1 hr. and make fine paste.
  • Heat ½ tbsp oil or ghee in pan and roast makhana till crispy.
  • Now hot remaining ghee or oil add ginger paste and tomato paste. Sauté for 3-4 minutes or till oil separate.
  • Cook for few minutes, add cashewnuts paste and cook for few minutes.
  • Add the beaten curds and a cup of water. Cook further for 5 minutes.
  • Add fried makhana in the gravy.
  • Finally add fresh cream, ginger juliennes and garam masala.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves serve hot with kuttu aata poori.
