Maalpua



Maalpua
Ingredients
Full cream Milk 1 litres
Maida (Refined flour) 2 tbls
Green cardamom powder 1/4 teaspoon
2 tbls sugar
Ghee for frying

For sugar syrup             
Sugar 2 cups
Saffron (kesar) a few strands
For garnishing  
2 tbls almonds and  Pistachios chopped

Method (How to make maalpua)
Boil milk in a heavy-bottomed pan on low flame till semi lequid consistency. Keep aside for cool down
Now  mix sugar in 2 cup of water and boil till one thread consistancy.
Add saffon and mix well.
Now mix maida, cardamom powder and sugar  in the milk and make  thick batter.
Now heat ghee in a non stick flat pan and pour one spoon full batter as a form of pan cake and cook on slow heat when its side turn brown turn it over to cook other side, when both side done, put on the sugar syrup and keep it for few minuts.
Make all maalpua as same procedure.
Remove from the syrup and garnish with pistahios and almonds and serve hot.
