Bengali Ghugni or White Peas Curry

Ingredients (3-4 servings)

2 cup white peas
2 medium size tomato (chopped)
1 tbls ginger (grated)
2 big onion (chopped)
2-3 green chilli (chopped)
2 tbls oil
1/2 inch stick cinnamon
2 bay leaf
1 big cardamom
1/2 tsp cumin (Jeera)
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2  tsp coriander powder
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp roasted cumin seed powder

for garnishing
1/2 cup Chopped onion
2 tbls coriander leaves
1 tsp chat masala
1/2 tsp chilli powder
Lemon slices

Method (How to make ghugni or white peas curry)
Wash and soak white pea over night.  Now boil them with little salt until they get soft.
Heat oil in a pan  put cumin seed, bay leaf, cardamom, cinnomon and fry few seconds now add onion and fry till  onions turn brown in color now add green chilli, grated ginger and chopped tomato and cook till tomato get pulpy.
Now add coriander powder and cumin powder, and boiled peas in it. Keep it to boil add garam masala and salt, mix well and remove from the heat.
Before serving sprinkle some chat masala and chilli powder over it and garnish with coriander,
