Punjabi Dal Dhaba style



Punjabi Dal Dhaba style
Ingredients (for 3-4 servings)
1/4 cup rajma
1/4 cup chana dal
1/2 cup black urad dal
2 - 3 green chillies
2 onions finally chopped
8 - 10 garlic flakes Grated
1” piece ginger grated
4 tblsp oil
3 tomatoes finally chopped
1/2 tblsp cumin powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tbsp kasoori methi
2 tbsp butter
salt to taste
1/4 cup coriander leaves

Method (How to make dhabey di dal)
Clean, wash and soak urad dal, chana dal and rajma in water for overnight or atleast 5-6 hrs.  
Remove the water from the soaked dals, and cook in a pressure cooker with six cup of water  until the dals are completely cooked.
Now heat oil in a wok add grated garlic fry for few sec., add onion, ginger and slit green chilly and fry untill onion turn golden brown in colour.
Now mix red chilli powder, cumin powder and stir-fry.
Add chopped tomatoes and cook for three to four minutes, stirring continuously.
Now mix boil dals, butter and salt and cook 10  more minutes on low flame.
Now add chopped coriander and crushed kasoori methi.
Remove from the heat and serve hot dal with chapati and rice.
