Chawal ke Phare
Material (3-4 servings)
2 cup rice
flour
31/2 cup
water
2 tsp oil
1/2 tsp salt
for filling
Urad daal – 1 cup (soaked in water for 2-3
hrs)
Ginger
1” piece
Green Chilli 4-5
Garam
masala 1 tsp
Heeng 2 pinch
Coriander
powder 1 tsp
Green
coriander leaves Chopped 2 tbls
Salt as per taste
Cumin
seeds 1 tsp
Oil
2 tbsp
Method (How to make phare or Pitha))
Drain water from the dal and coarsly grind with, ginger and
green chilly. Now add salt, heeng, coriander powder, garam masala and chopped
coriander leaves and mix well.
To
prepare the dough, boil 3 ½ cup of water in a pan, add salt add rice flour to
the boiling water slowly, stirring continuously with fork to avoid the lumps.
Let it to cool.
Grease
your hand with oil and knead the rice flour with your hands to make soft dough.
Now make 20-25 equal part from the dough
Now roll one
part to make small puri, and fill with
dal mixture and fold the puri as semi circle (gujhiya type shape) roll all puri and fill with mixture.
Now grease steamiing vessle with oil and put this phare
in the it and Steam
cook phare in a
steamer till the daal filling gets cooked.
For
checking take out one of them and prick with a pointed knife, if it comes out
clean it's cooked.
Take
out the pahre from the steamer and let it to be cool.
Serve hot these steam cook phare with green chatney or
..............
Cut
these phare in 1 cm thick slices.
Heat
oil in pan put cumin seeds when cumin turn brown add phare
pieces and fry till golden brown and crispy. Serve
hot with green chutney or sauce
