Aloo Posto
Ingredients (3-4 servings)
- 10-12 baby potato (Boiled and peeled)
- 4 tbls Poppy seeds (khaskhas)
- 1largeonions (finely chopped)
- 3 tbls oil or ghee
- 3-4 green chilies
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp kalongi (onion seeds)
- 1/2 tsp jeera
Method (how to make aloo posto)
- Soak poppy seed in warm water for half hour.
- Remove the excess water and make fine paste of poppy seeds and green chillies together.
- Now heat oil in wok add jeera, kalongi and fry few seconds and add chopped onion. fry onion till it turn golden.
- Now add poppy paste and fry few minuts.
- Add boiled potato and sugar and salt and mix well
- Now add 1/2 cup of water and cook on low flame till it get dry.
- Now aloo posto is ready to serve.
- Serve hot with rice and chapati.
