Sesame Seeds and
Peanut Chutney
Ingredients
1/2 cup White
Sesame Seeds
1/3 cup Peanuts
1/4 cup grated fresh Coconut
1 tsp Tamarind
pulp
4-5 Dry
Red Chilies
5-6 Garlic
cloves
Salt as per your taste
1 tbls Oil
For Tempering
1 tsp Oil
1 tsp Mustard
Seeds
7-8 curry leaves
Method
Heat a pan and dry roast
sesame
seeds till light brown and remove from the pan.
Now roast peanuts and coconut
till they are golden brown.
remove from the heat and keep aside.
Now heat oil in and pan. add
garlic and saute till light brown, now add dry red chilies and tamarind and saute few seconds.
Now add all
the ingredients (except
for tempering) in
a mixer, add half cup water and grind as smooth paste.
Now heat tempering oil
in a small pan and once it is hot, add mustard seeds and curry leaves let them
sizzle.
Immediately add it to the chutney and serve with idly, dosa.
