Ingredients
(for
2-3 servings)
2 cups cabbage (chopped)
1 cup moong dal (yellow split)
1 cup moong dal (yellow split)
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
4-5 curry leaves
1 pinch asafoetida
1 green chilli, chopped
3 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
1 green chilli, chopped
3 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
1 big carrot grated
1 tbls grated fresh coconut (optional)
1 tsp lemon juice
salt as per taste

1 tsp refind oil
Method
Soak the Moong dal in
water for 2-3
hours.
After 2-3
hours
drain the water completely.
Heat the oil in
a pan and
add the mustard seeds. When they start crackle, add the curry
leaves, asafoetida and green chilli and stir for few seconds.
Add the cabbage, carrot,
moong
dal and salt. Saute over a high flame for 2 to 3 minutes, till the dal softens
a little.
Remove from the heat and
transfer into a serving bowl add the chopped coriander,
grated
coconut,
and lemon juice and mix well and serve immediately.
