Kadi-Spinach Kadi
Ingredients
(for 3-4 servings)

bunch of Palak
(spinach)
300

3/4
cup Gram
flour (Besan)
100 gm

cup Curd
1
tbls Oil
2
pinch Asafetida
1/2
tsp Cumin
Seed
1/2
tsp fenugreek seeds(methi)
1/2
tsp Turmeric
Powder
2-3
Green
Chili (slit)
1/4
tsp Red
Chili powder
Salt
to
taste
1
tbls Coriander
leaves
(Finally chopped)
Method
(How
to make spinach kadi)
Clean and wash the spinach leaves.
Cut the spinach leaves finely and boil
it till it done. Drain the water and keep aside.
Mix gram flour in the beaten curd
properly add 3 cup of water and make a thin batter. There should
not be any lumps in this batter.
Now heat oil in a wok add
asafetida,
fenugreek seed
and cumin seed till it turns brown
Add turmeric powder
and green chili
and stir few seconds
Now add the gram
flour batter
and
stir continuously on
high flame
When it start boiling ,
stop stirring and lower the flame.
Mix cooked spinach, salt
and red chilli
powder.
Now cook for about 15 minutes
on the low flame.
Keep
stirring in
between
Remove from the gas and garnish
with coriander leaves
Spinach kadi is ready. Serve hot
with chapati and rice.
It is tasty and healthy too.
