Kofta in Green Gravy
Ingredients
For Kofta
1/2 cup
bottle gourd grated
1/2 cup
cabbage grated
3/4 cup gram
flour
1 tsp green
chilly and ginger paste
salt as per
taste
oil for
frying
for gravy
1 cup fresh
spinach chopped
1 tbls mint
leaves
2 green
chillies
1 tbls
coriander leaves
2 tbls onion
paste
1/2 cup
tomato paste
2 tsp ginger
garlic paste
2 clove
1-2 bay
leaves
1/2 tsp
turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red
chilli powder
1/2 tsp
coriander powder
1/2 tsp
garam masala
2 tbls fresh
cream
2 tbls oil
salt as per
taste
Method
For kofta
Mix grated bottle
gourd and grated cabbage, add gram flour salt, ginger chilli paste make soft
dough.
Make small
ball with the mixture.
Now heat oil
in awok, and deep fry till golden brown.
For gravy
Make paste
of spinach, mint leaves, coriander leaves and green chilli.
Now heat oil
in a pan add clove and bay leaves.
Now add
onion paste and fry till oil separate.
Add spinach
paste and fry for few minutes, now add tomato paste along with turmeric powder,
coriander powder, chilly powder and salt and cook till oil separate.
Now add half
of the fresh cream and 1 cup water and cook till start boiling.
Just before
serving heat the gravy add garam masala and kofta balls.
Decorate
with fresh cream and serve hot with chapati or nan.
